Experience:

Philipp Stopp is a German Certified Public Accountant (Wirtschaftsprüfer) and Tax Advisor (Steuerberater) at GRUB BRUGGER in Munich and Stuttgart.

He focuses on the areas of insolvency administration, debtor-in-possession proceedings (Eigenverwaltung) and custodianship proceedings (Sachwaltung).

His work centres on the continuation and restructuring of companies in regular insolvency proceedings, debtor-in-possession proceedings (Eigenverwaltung) and protective shield proceedings (Schutzschirmverfahren). He specialises in the restructuring of distressed mid-sized and large companies, including internationally operating businesses. In this context he advises companies in the automotive, retail and mail-order business as well as the machinery and plant engineering sectors.

Prior to joining GRUB BRUGGER, Philipp Stopp gained valuable experience in auditing annual and consolidated financial statements of both listed and mid-sized companies, special audit engagements such as IPOs and capital increases as well as transaction advisory. His work focused in particular on conducting financial due diligence analyses and providing SPA advice on complex, partly cross-border buy-side and sell-side projects for international private equity funds as well as corporates.
